Google Analytics
"This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and make it possible to analyze your use of the website. The information about your use of this website (including your IP address) generated by the cookie is transmitted to a Google server in the USA, where it is stored. Any transmission of data to the USA is subject to the adequacy clause as laid out by the European Commission in Art. 45 par. 1 of the GDPR. Within the scope of this, companies who have earned “Privacy Shield” certification are deemed to guarantee an adequate level of data privacy. Google is certified under the “Privacy Shield”. Our website uses the function "IP anonymization". By doing so, if you are located within a member state of the European Union or in a signatory state of the European Economic Area, your IP address will first be truncated and thus anonymized by Google. Only in exceptional cases will your full IP address first be transmitted to a Google server in the USA, where it is then truncated. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google uses this information in order to analyze use of the website, compile reports about website activities, and provide the website operator with additional services associated with website and Internet use. Information about your IP address gathered from your browser by Google Analytics will not be collated by Google with other data. You can prevent storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings correspondingly; however, should you choose to do so, you may not be able to take full advantage of this website’s functionality. Furthermore, you can prevent the compilation and transmission of data generated by the cookie pertaining to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google, as well as Google’s processing of such data, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de."
Use of Retargeting Functions
Display of interest-related advertising with the help of ""Retargeting""
This website uses so-called ""Retargeting-Tags"". ""Retargeting Tag"" refers to a JavaScript element which has been placed in the source code of the website. If a user visits a page on this website containing a retargeting tag, a provider of online advertising (such as Google) places a cookie on the computer of the user, assigning it to corresponding retargeting target-group lists. This cookie may also influence other retargeting campaigns (“interest-related advertising”) which are run on other websites. Studies have shown that the display of interest-related advertising is more appealing to users than advertising which has no direct reference to personal interests or previously visited websites.
Settings and Deactivation Options
Third-party providers, including Google, use these cookies to display ads based on prior visits to our website by the user. This process does not entail storage of any personally identifiable information. Users of this website may deactivate the use of cookies by Google, by going to Google’s ""Ads Settings"" page. Furthermore, users may also deactivate the use of cookies from third-party providers by visiting the deactivation page of ""Network Advertising Initiative"" and making changes to their settings as appropriate.
